Strawberries are fruit of European origin from the 18th century. The fruit is succulent and fragrant with a pleasant aroma that stimulates appetite. Strawberries come in varying sizes; however, a typical heart shape is its characteristic feature. When fully ripe, strawberries are essentially of red colour. The pericarp of the fruit consists of fewer protuberant achenes with tiny yellow coloured seeds. Strawberries are a perfect combination of sweetness and sourness. They are juicy with a marked aroma like sweet caramel blended with a fruity fragrance.
