Description
Peppers are native to Mexico, Central America, and northern South America. Known by the name ‘Shimla Mirch’ in India, bell peppers are among the most preferred veggies used in an Indian household for its aesthetic value and flavor. Red bell peppers are medium to large in size, rounded, square, and blocky in shape with 3-4 lobes and a thick green stem. The skin is smooth, glossy, and vibrant red in colour. Underneath the skin it contains a pale red flesh that is juicy yet crisp. With a typical aqueous crunch bell peppers are a blend of sweetness and fruity flavor.

Storage – Shelf Life
Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep peppers dry as moisture makes them rot faster. Refrigerate the peppers unwashed, in a plastic bag and consume within a week. Resort to refrigeration only when they cannot be consumed immediately.
Uses-Red bell peppers can be used in a wide variety of dishes due to its distinct flavor and scent. Can be grilled, roasted, baked, and sauteed. Widely used in salads, pastas, pizzas, pepper sauce, and even for flavoring curries.
