Description
Cabbage, commonly known as Pattagobhi is a green leafy vegetable. It has been cultivated since thousands of years and is believed to be originated from western Europe. We consume the head of the vegetable which is round in shape and light green in colour. The leaves are thick and have ridges in middle. It tastes like pepper when eaten raw. It is usually cooked in form of a vegetable and it turns sweet after cooking.
Nutritional content
It is a good source of potassium, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium and sodium.
Cabbage is an excellent source of vitamin K, without which our body will lose the ability to clot blood and excessive bleeding will occur.
Cabbage is packed with vitamin A too. This means it is an excellent food for keeping our eyes healthy.
It has high soluble fibre which aids in digestion.
Other mineral elements such as magnesium, potassium, manganese and calcium are also present in it. All these elements combined help in maintaining our blood pressure and keeps the heart muscles healthy.
All our cabbages are produced organically and are free of any hazardous chemicals. Vegetables are mostly harvested on the same date of delivery.

Storage – shelf life
It can be stored for a week and half by placing it in a plastic bag or crisper drawer of your refrigerator. Don’t remove the outer leaves. Cabbage heads that are cut are not advised to be stored as it will start to loose vitamin C.
